Promote positive family interaction by encouraging your children to start a road trip scrapbook.  This means you can work together to create your own book all about your holiday, with all your best memories from the break recorded.  You could assign different roles to each child – one to write in the book, one to take photos, someone else to collect small mementos from each place you visit.  Not only will your teamwork be boosted, but you’ll also have a lovely memory keepsake at the end of it!

Old fashioned car games never lose their appeal. and while you might struggle to get a teenager to join in with a nice game of I-Spy, these games are good for younger children to keep them occupied for a short while.  These games can always become educational too – especially good for youngsters who are learning to read or count!
